Upon taking over the Director of Communications and Marketing role, I drastically altered our social media strategy. Previous campus leaders viewed our social channels from a traditional media lens, with a focus on posting a lot of content rather than the “right” content. With the support of new leadership, and after hiring a new social media manager, we shifted the focus from post volume to post quality, with a specific emphasis on driving audience engagement. Eight months later, and our social channels have never been stronger!
